The system administrator is responsible for maintaining the List of Inventory and records the following items:
- Desktops
- Server
- Printers
- Network Components
- Supporting Components i.e. Paper Shredder, Locker, Emergency Lights etc…
- Laptops
- List of Software
The software and hardware configuration of each machine is monitored using suitable tools providing the details of such configuration.
When there is a purchase of new Hardware, the system administrator fills up Hardware Acceptance Report at the time of delivery of the Hardware. In case, if the hardware purchased is accepted than the same entered in the List of Inventory. In case of rejection of the hardware purchased, than the same is sent back to the Vendor.
Logs of System activities and firewalls are also reviewed and learning from such logs is reviewed and long-term corrective and preventive actions are identified and recorded in respective forms.
